Welcome to Il Piccolo

Corbridge's Italian restaurant, wine bar and delicatessen

Il Piccolo is a friendly restaurant, well known for authentic Italian cuisine in a relaxed setting, tucked away behind Corbridge's Hill Street. Family-owned and run, by Sicilian-born chef Emanuele Orto and his wife Pam, the restaurant serves great tasting Italian food and wines.

The seasonal a la carte menus are influenced by Emanuele's Sicilian heritage, with influences from the North African to the Norman. Sicily's cuisine is a mixture of cultures and is rich in local produce: olives, oranges, lemons, herbs, almonds, aubergines, tomatoes, pistachios, grapes, fish and seafood. Emanuele has his own unique style of cooking and serves up wonderfully tasty dishes, using the best local produce and imported Italian delicacies.

Why not join us for coffee, special hot chocolate and a luxurious Movenpick or Italian Ciccarelli ice cream? Or try a lunchtime special, midweek Early Bird menu. Why not takeaway something nice for dinner at home or we can host your Party or Celebration.

Il Piccolo also hosts Special Events throughout the year, including 'Live' music, from artists such as 'Master of Swing' Alexander Lomas, and our very popular Wine Tasting Evenings?
